If anyone has any information on the Lyne family who lived at 2 Rother
Cres., and then at 97 Wood Lane. Henry Lyne, father, Alma Lyne, mother,
Brenda, Marion, Mavis, daughters and son John Henry Lyne. My grandfather,
Henry Lyne died at Treeton Colliery in 1947 or 1948. Any information on the
family prior to 1947, or any information on the mine tragedy would be
sincerely appreciated. My mother is Marion Cook (nee Lyne) and is still
living in Canada, as am I. Also, If anyone recognizes any of the following,
I would love to find out about them; Barry Cope, John Carpenter, Margaret
Higham, Warwick Ward, The Dannatts, Glenys and Ivan Kelk, or anyone who
lived on Treetown Crescent from 1947 to 1957 when we left to come to Canada.
We lived at 22 Treetown Crescent. Thanks in advance for any help,
James Michael Cook (Jim)
